Our mission is to partner with parents as they love and lead their kids into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. We put a lot of energy into creating safe and fun environments where kids will experience Biblical truths and practical life applications. Through age-appropriate interactive lessons, energetic worship, small groups, and activities, kids will learn that loving God is cool.

Kids

What to expect

Every weekend your kids have an opportunity to experience God in a fun, multi-sensory environment tailored to their individual age and development level. Your kids will love going to Church!

Safe Environment

Safety is one of our highest priorities. Every time you check your kids in you’ll receive a unique parent identification tag that corresponds to your child’s tag. Additionally, we maintain high security standards with child safety ratios, training, and background checks for every CR First Kids Team member.

Creative Bible Teaching

Bible stories and spiritual truths will come to life through skits, multi-sensory activities, and discussions. It’s our goal that kids learn to love God’s Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Age Specific Environment

Our environments and lessons are tailored to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of each group. We believe kids learn best in circles and not in rows.

Fun

When kids have a blast at church, they can’t wait to come back! You can be sure that your kids will have fun each week as they learn about who God is.

Your First Visit

If it’s your first time bringing your kids to CR First, don’t worry…we’ve taken care of everything! Just head over to Guest Check-in, located in the Family Lobby (Enter through Doors 3 or 4). We look forward to meeting your family and helping you get set up with our check-in system.

During registration, we will ask for the following information: family member’s names, children’s birth dates and grades, address, phone number, and any special instructions for your child (allergies, medical conditions, special needs). This helps us make sure your kids are safe while you’re enjoying the service! Once the registration has been completed, a host will show you and your child to their age-appropriate room.

How Check-in Works

If your family is already registered in our system, just head to the self-check-in station located in the Family Lobby.

You will simply enter your 7-digit phone number into one of the kiosks. After selecting your child’s name on the kiosk and checking them into the appropriate age group, you and your child will be given matching check-in stickers for that service. Your sticker will be used as a pick-up ticket, and your child’s sticker will be used as a nametag. After service, you’ll return to your child’s room and show your pick-up ticket. A child will not be released to their guardian without presentation of their pick-up ticket.

If we need to contact you during the service, the identification number on your pick-up ticket will appear on the digital screens located above the doors to the left and right of the sanctuary stage or via text. Just swing by your child’s room with your pick-up ticket and speak to the room leader.

SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTS

Teach us to Pray

On July 19 we will begin a new Series in Big City Studio called “TEACH US TO PRAY.”

For a lot of people, prayer seems like such a hard thing to do. They don’t think they can because they don’t know how. They see other people praying with big words, in a loud voice, or in front of a crowd and they think that they have to pray EXACTLY like that in order for their prayers to be “good enough.”

Well, that’s just not true. Prayer is when we get to talk to God, and He gets to talk to us. It’s a vital part of our spiritual lives, it’s one of the coolest things ever! There is not a certain way that you have to talk to God. God is our best friend. He just wants us to pray to Him in any way we can.

Jesus’ disciples once asked Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” So, Jesus taught them a sample prayer to use as a guide to help them know HOW to pray. We call it “The Lord’s Prayer.” In this series, the children will be learning how to pray. It’s not “THE ONLY WAY” to pray, but it’s a sample prayer that Jesus gave to the disciples that we can follow.

In each lesson, we are going to look at “The Lord’s Prayer” piece by piece and see what Jesus was teaching the disciples about how to pray. It is our goal that each child will have the entire Lord’s Prayer memorized by the end of the series.
